International activities

International service office

The office has the following tasks:

• Placement of apprentices and young workers from the Oppland in European countries through various forms of funding (such as the Leonardo da Vinci programme).
• Encourage businesses, schools and institutions in Oppland to engage in projects run through the EU (Linking Up, Comenius etc.)
• Provide information and support to small and medium-sized businesses in Oppland with regards to internationalisation.

Internationalisation in upper secondary education

The upper secondary schools in Oppland participates in international cooperation in various ways, e.g. by organising exchanges and school partnerships within the framework of EU-programmes like Comenius and Leonardo da Vinci.

Youth exchange

Through the Norwegian Youth Festivals of Art Oppland county authority get access to several networks which give young people in the county the opportunity to participate in festivals abroad.   

International projects

Oppland county authority aims at being active in finding partners and establishing projects that will contribute to a positive development of the region. Some of the focus areas are culture heritage preservation, second homes and use and preservation of mountain areas.
